From consultation to collaboration: Rethinking participation in EU Cohesion policies – Policy brief

In this policy brief, Michiel Stapper summarised the ideas and possible solutions proposed by the BOLSTER project on how to improve the engagement of civil society organisations and the most vulnerable and marginalised communities in Just Transition processes, based on the work of the BOLSTER consortium in seven European regions.

The BOLSTER project is a Horizon Europe funded project that focuses on understanding how marginalised communities are affected by European Green Deal (EGD)-related policies and to see whether involving them in decision-making processes increases the support for transition plans. The project, in which Bankwatch is a partner, is coordinated by Tilburg University and started in September 2022. Find more about the project here.
