Navigating the just transition: empowering young leaders for a just green transition

The just transition process aims to reshape the socio-economic future of regions eligible for the Just Transition Fund. It is therefore crucial that this process is inclusive and treats current and future generations as key stakeholders in contributing to the transition.

With this perspective in mind, the EUTeens4Green project has been launched as a response to the current situation. It provides a unique opportunity for young people to take ownership and become agents of change, to propose actions to foster a green recovery in their respective regions, and to contribute to the effective governance of the EU’s cohesion policy.

This webinar focuses on the EUTeens4Green initiative, showcasing two youth-led projects currently underway in Bulgaria and Poland. Our panellists will examine the role of young people in driving the green transition and discuss the steps that need to be taken to ensure they participate in a meaningful way.

Panellists:

  • Luisa Marchionni, innovation consultant and project manager at Startup Europe Regions Network (SERN)
  • Vihren Mitev, founder and director of Ecological Manifesto and supervisor of the Youth 4 Green Transition’ project in Bulgaria
